This is a collection of pop-rock songs, pure and simple. I went back to tradition when I thought it was necessary and to left field when I thought that was necessary. But at the heart of this was the creation of melodic rock and the pumping of guitar energy. The songs were written over a span of 4 years with the bulk in late 2020 and 2021. Apart from the basic bass and MIDI drum tracks most of the instrumentation consists of guitars, with some of my guitars seeing action for the first time in a long while. Synthesizers were used sporadically and only when they could add needed color. The lyrics are mostly a social commentary of the times. Mostly I wanted to tell this "raw" story through guitar and vocal phrasing. Mixing these songs was both tough and fun with the focus on finding the levels that revealed the groove and then letting the candy melt over that. As usual, I hope I succeeded in producing a product worthy of a general audience. Enjoy!
